From the earliest visioning of Plants and Blooms ReImagined (PBR) the mission was to create the most accessible nature-based connections for vulnerable communities who are too often disconnected from nature centric experiences and subsequently from the benefits derived from them. Thus, when in 2015 the Founder and CEO, Kaifa Anderson-Hall saw a Children's National Bloodmobile parked and somehow transposed the d in Blood to an m, reading Bloommobile, it was clear what message was being delivered -- access will be realized by going to where these communities reside and/or are served. This has been PBR's practice since the organization's inception and now the "Bloom Mobile" will accelerate this practice even more!
The following Washington Informer article highlighting PBR's inaugural A Garden Party That Gives fundraiser event, speaks to this new movement and the growing impact re: those PBR serves.
